Swim time at the end of Emma Gorge

Emma Gorge Turquoise Pool

Hi everyone, we had a great a great time going down the Gibb River road. It was fun. Elquestro station had a walk called Emma Gorge. The water was really clear nice and pebbly on the bottom and freezing cold. There were waterfalls everywhere like raindrops and you could stand under one. At Zebedee springs the water was really warm and we were catching frogs and saw a big water monitor lizard. We saw big crocs at Home Valley, they had a nice swimming pool. We went for a big walk at Barnett river Gorge and found some Aboriginal artwork. Galvan's gorge was a nice waterfall too and had big fish in the pool which we swam in. We saw a big snake at Bell Gorge and mum and dad saw some people they knew called Kathy Campbell.

We went to Winjana gorge and Tunnel creek. There were 31 freshwater crocs at the gorge. We had to take torches into tunnel creek it was fun. Now we are in Broome and we have been having a great time. We've been to the beach heaps, caught 3 big mud crabs, swimming in the pool and playing with the dogs at Sally and Johns. Now we are back at Gavin and Sarah's playing with Thomas Adam and Harry in their pool. They've got a cool tree house which mum wouldn't let me climb all the way to the top but I did anyway! 10metres high! We are leaving tomorrow to come home to Perth.

Aussie Outback

Hi everyone we have just spent the last couple of weeks going through the Aussie Outback from Cairns to the Kimberley. We have had lots of long drives on very bumpy roads.

We saw the largest croc ever killed in Normanton on the Gulf it was huge, 28 ft long. We found zircons and garnets when we went fossiking near Gemtree on the Plenty Highway in the Northern Territory.
We stayed in Alice Springs and made some friends at the caravan park. Then we went to Uluru. It was a very big red rock!
On the Tanami Track we met up with another family and travelled with them to the Bungles. We all got flat tyres. We saw Wolfe creek crater, the second biggest in the world. It was Myles birthday and we camped at a place called Palm Springs and went for a swim in a hot spring, had a chocolate cake with strawberries on top, it was the best! Then we watched Hotel for dogs which he got for his birthday, its so funny.
At the Bungle Bungles we did heaps of walking, one of them was 5km. We had so much fun rock climbing. They were pretty amazing. Now we are in Wyndham, dad is going paraglyding here. Soon we will be going to Elquestro station.

Sorry its been so long. We are playing with guinea pigs Horace and Shimmer which belong to our friend Anah who we met in Eungella. We also made another friend called Macey who lives here in Cairns too.

After Dad finished flying in Eungella we went to Airlie Beach and hired a yacht and went sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. We saw a big fish called Elvis, went snorkling it was fun but a bit scarey. Manta Ray bay was the best, Mackeral bay was good too. I caught a big fish that wrapped around the anchor 3 times but we got it. I had fun sailing in the rough water. We had a great time.

Next we went to Etty Bay and saw some wild cassowary's. Then we went to Paronella park which had some pretty gardens and our tour guide used to live in the house and they had a cool light show at night and we saw heaps of huge eels and we fed them. Now we are in Cairns Emily will update from here.

Hi Em here,

We have had fun here in Cairns catching up with our friends. We first stayed at Palm Cove and then we moved to Anah Cresswells for a week. We had a sleep over at Macey miss paceys house and ended up staying 2 nights. We caught a fish and some freshwater prawns out of the creek in there back yard. We went to Sugar World and went down some cool water slides.
Then we went to Cooktown and stayed at an Aboriginal mans place near the beach. It was a really bad track and daddy dinged his car and got mad. Now we are back in Cairns and are having fun with the guinea pigs. Soon we are leaving and I will be sad.

Inskip to Emerald

At Inskip we collected some colored sands and went to feed the dolphins. We camped on the beach for 3 weeks and boogey boarded alot because the waves were big. Dad showed us how to skim with our boards in very shallow water not even up to my ankle. He tied a rope to the boogy board and pulled us along in shallow water. I was standing up, Lucy was on her tummy and Emily was on her knees.

When mum came back from Papua New Guinea we went on the ferry over to Fraser Island. We saw some dingoes. They had been going around the tent, one got really close. We boogy boarded there too but it was stormy weather. Dad caught a stingray and some whiting that I had for dinner. It was hard to get the sting ray off the line because it kept on trying to whack dad, but we eventually got it off and let it go. We went four wheel driving to a lake called Lake MacKenzie. It was pristine blue water. I was standin on my boogey board like I was surfing in the deep.

We went bike riding in Hervey bay we went bike riding and cleaned all the sand out of the camper trailer. We got invaded by ants. Dad got us a new computer game and its really fun. Its called 101 Brainy games.

When we went to Emerald we fed the wild parrots and got some sapphires. We went kyaking in the lake and got some red claw which dad ate.

Bye for now

Bindi and the Crocmen

a real crocodile!

We went to Zacharias house in North Arm on the Sunshine Coast. I used to play with him when we lived in Broome and mum was friends with his mum Belinda. It rained all the time and we lived in mud! Lucky they had a granny flat and we played lots of PS2 and NDS. We danced with Bridie and played dressups and went for a pony ride. Me and Lucy steered monty by ourselves. We also went to the beach and Noosa, Nambour, a cool playground in Kennilworth.

The easter bunny visited us at Zachs. We had to sort out our own easter egg hunt because of the rain and cane toads.

We left Zachs and went to the Glass House Mountains for a week and Nan and Grandad Bill came and stayed with us. We went to Australia Zoo and we will try and download a video of Bindi. It was heaps of fun we saw lots of things not just crocodiles. They had elephants, tigers, birds, A show with Bindi called Jungle dance party. Terri and Bob came out too to feed the crocodile, Wes kept on annoying the croc and swam away from it to get it back to its home. Bindi fed a crocodile for the first time.

Nan took us to Peregian beach and we had lots of fun. We saw some volcanic mountains which looked wierd. We went on a rainforest walk. We had heaps of fun catching up with nana and grandad.

Now we are at Inskip point

After Tiona we went to Laurieton again ,dad did more flying. We went to the waterfall way and the trout farm was really interesting. We had to go to the Gold coast for dad doing some stuff and then we went back down to Byron Bay and stayed at camp Maddison.

Maddison took us for a ride on the quad bike there was alot of cow poo! We went to the beach and it rained but we still had fun. Maddison told dad to go to Killarney so we got to go to the pub for dinner lots. Dad went flying & we saw some waterfalls and made some friends, Jessica was living behind us. We had some other friends Georgina, Shania, Ashley and Lizzie.

Then we went to Canungra & dad did some more flying. We went on another tree top walk and saw a bower bird. They collect all blue stuff it had blue bottle tops and straws all around its home. We camped by a creek and saw some more platypus. It rained so much that mum and dad had to stay up on the last night to keep checking on the creek to see if we would get flooded but it was OK. We went to sea world but we haven't got any photos because mums camera got stolen. Dad has some on his computer. It was great fun, the dolphin show was the best. We saw seals, sharks, polar bear, rays, we touched star fish and went on a log ride that was so scary and I got wet. Dad went on a really fast jet ride and he was scared too.

Now Emily will do the rest,
